Immunization Notification

This is a notification demanding that parents of students attending a LAUSD middle school vaccinate their children against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis by the fall. If no proof is on file at that school, the principal and nurse say they will not allow that child to attend that school.

If you are a parent who received one of these notifications AND you refuse to vaccinate your child/children AND you live in CA, you need to know about the code. Section 120365 of the Health and Safety Code exempts your child/children from vaccines. Be certain to follow proper protocol as I did and the waiver should, according to the law, be accepted in place of a vaccine record card.

Please don't allow a letter like this to bully you into doing something against your good sense.
